MEET BIEN DOAN
Proven Leadership for a Safer,
Cleaner San José
Mayor Matt Mahan endorsed my re-election, saying I am the experienced leader we need to guide us through tough fiscal times while prioritizing public safety, cleaner neighborhoods, and better city services.
As your Councilmember and a 22-year San José Fire Captain, I have focused on public safety, housing affordability, and lowering the cost of living while restoring parks like our Japanese Friendship Garden, Vietnamese Heritage Garden, and Tully Ballfields.
I led efforts to address homelessness through cost-effective shelter solutions and addressed problematic RVs. I demanded accountability for $300 million in untracked homelessness spending, protected taxpayer dollars, strengthened neighborhood services, supported responsible housing growth, protected renters, and fought to keep mobile homes affordable. Our work is not finished.
As an immigrant and a father, I believe in hard work and delivering real results. Families should be able to afford the homes they love.
I am the only candidate in recent history endorsed by both the South Bay Labor Council and the Silicon Valley Biz PAC. I am also endorsed by GSMOL mobile homeowners, Police Officers, San José Firefighters Local 230, District Attorney Jeff Rosen, Congressman Sam Liccardo, and many community leaders.
I’d be honored to earn your vote again.
